How to solve the problem of shoes rubbing your feet

1. Softening leather methods
1. Hair dryer + hand cream method
Use a hair dryer at low temperature to blow on the rubbing area for 3-5 minutes. After softening, apply a thick layer of Vaseline or hand cream. Let it sit overnight to significantly improve the rubbing problem of leather shoes. ‌

2. Alcohol/white wine penetration method
Soak a cotton pad in alcohol or white wine and wrap the inside of the heel for 8 hours. Alcohol molecules can soften leather fibers and are suitable for the edges or heels of leather shoes.

 

 

2. Physical protection measures
1. Silicone anti-friction stickers
Choose U-shaped transparent silicone stickers to accurately cover the raised area at the back of the shoe. The thickness of 3 mm can disperse the pressure. It can be torn off and cleaned at night and reused. ‌

2. Wear thick socks or anti-friction foot covers
Towel-bottomed sports socks or special anti-friction foot covers can reduce direct friction and accelerate the softening of the leather. ‌

3. Structural adjustment techniques
1.‌Freezing expansion method‌
Put a sealed bag filled with water into the heel of the shoe, freeze it and use the ice expansion to expand the shoe upper by 0.3-0.5 cm, which is especially suitable for PU shoes.

2.‌Shoe expander assistance‌
For the problem of squeezing the foot, use a shoe expander to continuously expand the shoe for 1-2 days, and adjust the shoe shape to fit the curve of the foot. ‌

 

 

4. Emergency and medical treatment
1.‌Temporary lubrication protection‌
Applying moisturizer or soap to the rubbed foot can temporarily reduce friction, but it needs to be cleaned in time to avoid cortical corrosion. ‌

2.‌Wound care‌
If the skin has been worn out, disinfect it with iodine first, then apply erythromycin ointment and cover it with hydrocolloid dressing, and avoid getting it wet within 48 hours.
